Blue Streak

In a botched heist, jewel thief Miles Logan (Martin Lawrence) barely has time to hide a $20 million diamond in a nearby building under construction before he is captured by the police. Now, two years later, Logan has been released from jail and plans to retrieve the gem. Unfortunately, the building where Logan has hidden the diamond is now the new 37th L.A. Police Precinct. To get the diamond, he poses as a police detective. With his ability to think like a criminal, Logan soon distinguishes himself as an insightful and effective, if irreverent, member of the force. His brush with legitimacy is soon in peril, however, when his double-crossing ex-partner-in-crime reappears and threatens to blow his cover.
